Traveling Spey Instruction

2026 UPCOMING

Dates To BE ANNOUNCED

While my Spey Schools are built around the Bow River, not everyone can make it to Calgary—so I’m taking the program on the road. A two-day format, tailored curriculum, delivered on your home waters.

These traveling Spey Schools are limited to 5–6 students and are designed for every level—whether you’re testing the waters with two-handed casting or looking to break through a plateau before a big trip. Drawing on years of guiding for salmon, steelhead, and trout, we will focus on the real skills that make anglers effective: reading water, swing strategy, equipment fundamentals, Skagit concepts, demos, and plenty of hands-on practice.

The two-day structure lets us break everything into digestible blocks while giving you time to apply each skill on the water. It’s not just a casting class—it’s a complete framework for becoming a more confident, intentional Spey angler.

I’ll be connecting with shops and clubs across Western Canada as I finalize the 2026 schedule. If you’d like to host a school at your fly shop, club, or with a group of friends, reach out for pricing and availability. These sessions can also be paired with speaking engagements or private lessons.

If you have an idea in mind, let’s talk.
