British Columbia Saltwater Exploration Trips
Cruising in the Hogg Tide a 22ft Custom C-Dory - The VW Van of the sea!
APRIL & JUNE 2026 - Dates Coming SOon
In British Columbia, the saltwater wilderness is alive—whales, porpoises, sea birds, rocky shorelines, and tides that breathe life into everything. Our saltwater exploration trips are built around embracing that world from our new saltwater vessel, letting each day unfold according to what the ocean serves up.
These adventures blend marine exploration with hands-on fishing and gathering. Depending on conditions, we can jig for rockfish, drop traps for crab and prawns, chase halibut, or troll for bright Chinook Salmon—still abundant in many coastal pockets of BC and rightfully known as the King of the Pacific. When they’re moving, they often ride the tides into the nearshore waters, appearing in pulses and testing every piece of your gear—and your grit.
But the trip is about far more than fishing. We’ll anchor in quiet estuaries, tuck behind islands, cook incredible fresh meals, and explore shorelines that feel untouched. Some days may include visits to natural hot springs, wildlife viewing, or navigating narrow channels. Every day is different, shaped by weather, tide, and opportunity—and that unpredictability is the magic.
As the long northern days stretch around the summer solstice, this is one of the best times to experience the coast at its fullest. Whether we’re harvesting dinner, watching humpbacks feed, or chasing the first Chinook of the season, these trips offer a raw, immersive connection to the Pacific. Join us and experience the saltwater side of the world we call home.
